Dear Valued REC Business Partner:
We have some very exciting news to share with you about REC Manufacturing, but first we would like to thank you for your years of patronage and support. It has truly been an honor to serve you and your business needs and we look forward to serving your plastic molding needs for many years to come.
Bob and the shareholders at REC have recently come to the conclusion that this is the right time to sell the business and chart a new course for themselves. To that end, Bob has chosen DelCam Manufacturing to be the next steward of his great company. On behalf of DelCam we are beyond thrilled to make REC part of the DelCam Manufacturing family of manufacturing and fabrication businesses. This transaction was completed on December 7th. We are pleased to share that as part of the acquisition Bob will be staying on for two years to ensure a smooth transition and will always be just a phone call or email away if we need him. Rest assured Bob, like us, will work to ensure a seamless transition. Additionally, we are pleased to announce that Carleen Kristensen will not only be staying on as a valued member of the REC family, but will be assuming elevated responsibilities in her new role as Chief Operating Officer.
There are multiple factors that attracted DelCam to REC Manufacturing, most notably the people, processes, and commitment to timely response to customer needs. Our intention is to continue this relentless focus and enhance it with further investment. It goes without saying that transitions like this can cause concern to those who have been business partners with the company for many years, which is the reason for this letter. When conditions allow, we would like to invite you to our facility to meet the REC team and see firsthand how your products are created. Other important points include:
• We will retain the REC Manufacturing Corporation name • Our location will not change, you will continue to find us at 50 Mellen Street in Hopedale, MA • Each member of our team of experts will continue making your products with care and pride throughout the transition and beyond • While retaining the name, location, people, processes, and culture of professionalism, REC will become part of a larger entity that will increase the value we can bring to you via expanded product and service offerings
Once again, we thank you for your past and continued support and look forward to speaking with you soon and growing our businesses together. In the meantime, feel free to call us if you have any questions or to offer your congratulations.
